WORKING IT OUT

welcome to my world! join me on my quest to find the deeper meaning of what it is to be in this universe. sometimes it will look and sound as crazy and non-sensical as real life can sometimes be, but don't freak out. hopefully, during the process, we learn a little bit more about ourselves and the world we live in as we enjoy the good, survive the bad and figure out everything else in between.

jet set society...

well, if you haven't noticed that my posts of late have been a little weak, then just pretend you didn't see this. but if you have noticed the calling-it-in effort i've put into this week's blog fodder, just know that it is only because i've had to keep some really odd hours this week due to the jet setters who have been arriving and departing via our life.

it all started tuesday afternoon and has just taken a bit of a break today, but officially in won't be over until andrew comes home tomorrow from texas. so to briefly recap:

my mother flew in to sfo from the philippines on wednesday midday. luckily my brother has a spare room so she's staying with him while she visits for the next three months.

then early thursday morning, and i'm not talking six or seven a.m., anthony's niece flew in to oakland from san salvador at just past midnight. she's a flight attendant for the national airline and whenever she's in town she stays with us.

then, just hours after having been at the oakland airport andrew returned to oakland and flew out to texas around 10 a.m.

as you can imagine our internal clocks were a mess on thursday. of course the obligatory drinking we did with anthony's niece and our friend stephanie, who is practically her sister-in-law, had nothing to do with it. needless to say, we spent friday recuperating and running some errands to get things that anthony's niece would take back with her and give to family members back in el salvador.

and, as has been the rhythm of this week, it would be just a few hours, again, before stephanie and i would be dropping her off at the airport at midnight.

so now it's saturday afternoon and i'm finally feeling like our schedule is getting back to a state of normalcy. at least for now, since we won't have to see another airport until tommorrow night when we pick andrew up at 11 p.m.

see? being part of the jet set society is just as glamorous as you all think it is.
