a call out to anyone who enjoys writing...

well, i am hoping that the many...okay, four or five...of you who read this blog and who also enjoy writing will want to participate in the expansion projects happening at the q-netwerk. it is a gay-owned and operated site that is trying to create a truly queer-friendly environment catering to the different social and networking needs of the community.

i really want to help this site succeed because i think they are sincerely trying to do something positive for the queer community and i do have a sentimental attachment to the q-network since it is the host site where i decided to first start blogging.

anywritingassignment, i know everyone is busy doing their own thing taking care of biznaz, and this might seem like something you don't have time for, but, you might already be writing something for your own blog that could be crossed-over to one of these projects. oh and don't forget, you'll get monetary compensation for your efforts too...ooo, i sound like i'm pimping you out...i know this is a real opportunity to make a few bucks for your writing because i have been paid for a couple of write ups i did a few months ago. so this isn't bullshit and i wouldn't waste my time trying to involve others.

i am hoping that at least the few of you with whom i exchange blog-comment banter will participate even if you aren't gay; i'm pretty sure there wouldn't be a problem if you wrote from a queer-friendly perspective. in any case it wouldn't hurt to try, would it? anyegostroking, you all are talented writers or else i wouldn't bother reading your blogs and interacting with you. and that's not just me blowing smoke up your asses...it's a very similar sensation but it would require that we be in close physical proximity and...and...well, i'm sure you are all glad i only have your blog addresses.

so here's an edited version of the e-mail i got inviting me to add whatever i can, whenever i can, to any of these projects. it has all the information you need if you would like to add your two cents and get a buck back in return.

Q Netwerk has had a few growing pains and I've had a bit of trouble keeping up with the demands.

I am looking for folks who seriously want to make some income. I am desperately in need of a sales person to sell advertising on the site as well as help add business to the Q Guide. For the time being 100% commission.

I also am desperate for writers for movie, music, theater, restaurant reviews and other articles.

Writers will receive approx. 10 cents per word for 300 - 1,000 word articles.
